Zulassung in Bezug auf St. Johannis HEIM Zimmer und Wohnungen


We offer the following accommodation: single room, 2 or 3-bed room sharing.

Our rooms are fitted with a hand wash basin and a built-in cupboard. The resident may bring some furniture with to make the room homely. Each room has an Intercom to the Sisters office and a call-button.

Pending on the assessment closer to the date of an admission we would place the resident to the best of his/her ability.

A once-off Application Fee (non-refundable) of R 5,000.00 is payable prior to admission.

Included in the before mentioned monthly fee are 24 hr Nursing care (Cat.2 & 3), 3 meals per day, washing of private laundry and cleaning service for the room.

Medication, Doctor Visits, Toiletries, Hairdresser, Podiatrist and any other personal requirements are for the residents’ personal account.

Dieser Bericht wird vom Arzt des Antragsstellers ausgefüllt.

This allows us to open an account for the resident with our preferred pharmacy to deliver required medication for the resident directly to the Heim.

Allgemeine Hausordnung für das Heim und Wohnungen

The St. Johannis Heim offers its residents accommodation and security, where
residents and staff form a household, based on Christian believes.
In a house, where many people live together, kindnesses, mutual respect, support,
trust and patience are necessary for a harmonious atmosphere.

All residents have equal rights and duties in the Heim. There are no privileges,
whether as a result of a longer stay in the Heim or on the basis of a paid contribution.

  1. Meals are usually taken together in the dining room.
    – Breakfast at 08h00
    – Lunch at 12h00
    – Dinner at 17h00Only in exceptional circumstances, such as illness or physical disability, meals can be served in the room.
  2. General rest periods are from 12:30 to 14:30 and in the evening from 21h30.
  3. The spiritual support is with the Evangelical Lutheran Cape Church and the priests of the German Catholic community. Devotions are announced regularly.
  4. Each room is thoroughly cleaned once a week. Each resident should keep the usual daily order in his/her room for as long as possible.
  5. Residents must not give any orders to the employees. Special requests must be discussed with the Heim management.
  6. All laundry items must be clearly marked. Location for washing and ironing, as well as to make coffee or tea is available.
  7. Smoking inside the house is strictly forbidden.
  8. All residents are welcome to attend all joint activities and thus to promot harmonious community life.
